The tartan has been registered with the Patent Office in order to give the purchaser the assurance and satisfaction of wearing a tartan that has been created and woven in Scotland to a standard in keeping with Lochcarron & Scotland’s traditional reputation.It is no accident that there is a definite influence from the Douglas tartans, as Sir James Douglas was considered to be the third Greatest Patriot after Wallace & Bruce. He died in attempting to take the heart of Bruce to the Holy Land.
